Senior Pricing Analyst (Motor) – Machine Learning / Actuarial Pricing (UK) Hybrid | Permanent
1-2 days p/wk in London office
This high-growth UK insurer/insurtech is hiring a Senior Pricing Analyst to strengthen the team. This role suits someone who can combine machine learning + robust statistical modelling with a practical understanding of actuarial pricing and claims to shape product and portfolio performance.
You\’ll be hands-on with large datasets, build and improve pricing models, and partner closely with Underwriting, Product, Risk, Ops and Technology to turn analytics into real commercial decisions.
What you\’ll be doing Build, validate and improve pricing models for motor and P&C, using ML + statistical approaches
Analyse claims, loss cost and risk drivers to support pricing strategy and optimisation
Translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders
Support new product development with pricing input and performance monitoring
Keep on top of market/technical trends and apply them to improve pricing precision
What we\’re looking for 2-3 yrs+ experience in GI pricing (motor and/or P&C) and building pricing models
Strong Python + SQL (R also useful) for analysis, modelling, and repeatable data workflows
Experience with claims analysis and linking claims/risk insights back to pricing actions
Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment
Able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
Nice to have Pricing tool experience (e.g., Radar/Emblem/Earnix )
Cloud-based analytics
