Motor Insurance / Commercial Vehicle
I'm looking for an experienced Technical Pricing professional to join a growing pricing function with a focus on Motor, particularly Commercial Vehicle. This suits someone who enjoys combining technical pricing, data science, model development and stakeholder influence. You’ll play a key role in improving pricing capability, developing risk models, enhancing reporting and supporting the wider pricing and underwriting strategy.
The role will involve:
- Owning and improving pricing processes across Motor / Commercial Vehicle
- Developing risk models using traditional and machine learning techniques
- Improving automated pricing performance monitoring and reporting
- Working with Data Science / Machine Learning teams on data ingestion, modelling and model monitoring
- Exploring new data sources and building innovative rating features
- Communicating pricing insight and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Coaching and mentoring team members
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in general insurance pricing, ideally Motor but will consider Home.
- Strong modelling knowledge, including GLMs, GBMs, GAMs, etc
- Programming experience in Python, PySpark, R, SAS and/or SQL
- WTW Radar experience would be highly advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence pricing, underwriting and data science stakeholders
- A quantitative degree would be preferred but is not essential
