This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants more ownership, more autonomy and a better platform to build a genuinely profitable specialist desk. The opportunity in Pricing, Actuarial and Data remains some of the most important hiring areas across the insurance sector. Insurers, MGAs, brokers, consultancies and technology-led insurance businesses all need sharper analytical capability, stronger pricing talent and better use of data. We want someone who can own this market for Gerrard White.

You will have the freedom to build and develop your own desk, supported by an established insurance recruitment team, dedicated resourcing capability, modern systems and a leadership team that understands specialist recruitment. This is not a cold-start role in an unknown market. Gerrard White already has deep insurance relationships, live client conversations and a very strong reputation to build from.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing new business across insurers, MGAs, brokers, consultancies and wider insurance firms
  • Managing permanent recruitment processes from vacancy qualification through to offer and placement
  • Mapping your market and building strong talent pools
  • Advising clients on salary trends, candidate availability and hiring strategy
  • Working closely with the wider Insurance division to maximise cross-selling opportunities
  • Taking ownership of your desk, pipeline, activity and revenue growth

What we’re looking for:

We are interested in speaking to recruiters with experience in one or more of the following markets: Actuarial, Data and Analytics, Insurance, Professional Services recruitment. You do not need to have recruited across all three areas before. What matters is that you understand specialist recruitment, can build client relationships, and have the drive to develop a profitable niche.

You will need:

  • At least two years’ recruitment experience
  • A proven record of billing and business development
  • Strong commercial judgement
  • Confidence speaking to senior candidates and clients
  • Good organisation and follow-through
  • The resilience and ambition to grow a specialist desk properly

Why Gerrard White?

Gerrard White has over 20 years of success in specialist recruitment and a long-standing reputation across the legal and insurance markets. Our team is 30+ strong and includes 360 consultants, resourcers and support specialists. We have low staff turnover, a mature working culture and a track record of developing and retaining good recruiters. You will not be micromanaged. You will be trusted to build your market, supported properly, and rewarded well when you deliver.

Rewards and benefits:

  • Competitive base salary, depending on experience
  • Uncapped 30% commission scheme once quarterly threshold is achieved
  • Annual 100% Club international holidays
  • Quarterly performance lunches and events
  • Flexible hybrid working, with a minimum of one day per week in our Tunbridge Wells office
  • Ongoing training and development
  • Generous annual leave, plus your birthday off
  • Option to buy two additional holiday days
  • Private medical cover with Vitality
  • 50% gym membership discount and retail discounts
  • Length of service awards, including monetary rewards and additional time off
