Paralegal
Gerrard White is currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join one of our clients, who are expanding their Commercial Property team. The successful candidate will support multiple solicitors, assisting with all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with a diverse range of clients across sectors such as planning, education, charities, and care.
The role is based in Tunbridge Wells, with the potential for hybrid working after probation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting solicitors with commercial property transactions, including drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Conducting legal research and preparing reports.
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, and third parties to progress transactions efficiently.
- Managing due diligence processes, including reviewing and summarising title documents, leases, and contracts.
- Preparing Land Registry applications and handling post-completion formalities.
- Maintaining accurate case files and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting the wider team with administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience as a legal secretary, legal assistant or paralegal within property (ideally commercial property, but residential property also considered)
- Strong research and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor\’s degree in Law or Paralegal certificate
