About the Role
We are recruiting Support Workers / Care Assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in a supported living environment. This role involves hands-on support, promoting independence, dignity, and choice while supporting people with daily living activities, personal care, and community access. A full UK driving licence is required for roles involving mobility vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care (washing, bathing, toileting)
- Support with daily living tasks (cooking, cleaning, shopping)
- Assist with medication administration
- Promote independent living and life skills development
- Support access to community activities, appointments, and social inclusion
- Follow care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
- Record and report incidents, behaviours, and progress notes
- Work as part of a team, attending handovers and meetings
Skills & Experience
- Support Worker / Care Assistant experience
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
- Understanding of safeguarding, mental health, autism, learning disabilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, compassionate, and proactive
- Flexible to work day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays
- Must maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times
