Gerold & Partners is excited to be working with a top tier $15bn+ Hedge Fund in London on an investment analyst / associate role with a focus on Asset-Based Finance (ABF) in London.
What You’ll Do
- Build and own financial models — structuring, cash flow analysis, and scenario/sensitivity work across asset-based finance transactions; particularly for non-standard, esoteric deals.
- Support deal execution and portfolio monitoring with direct, hands‑on analytical involvement.
- Be involved across a multitude of asset classes within structured finance, ranging from public ABS, RMBS, CMBS, CLOs to private ABF (forward flows, mortgage pools) and real estate credit.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- Up to ~2 years post-graduation experience
- Prior experience in finance, in a technical/analytical role — the specific firm or platform matters less than what you actually built and did day-to-day
- A technical/quantitative degree background from a top university.
- Preferably A*s at A-Level in Maths and Further Maths (or equivalent).
Skillset
- Strong quantitative and analytical ability; comfortable building models independently
- Some coding proficiency (exact language less important than demonstrated ability to use it to solve problems)
- Technical capability is the priority here — a fast learner and hard worker with strong fundamentals is preferred over someone with deal origination experience but weaker technical depth
