Overview
Senior Planning Officer role at German Villarreal, Financial Advisor. Hybrid Working: 1 day per week in the office. Full-time, 37 hours per week. Temporary contract.

Daily duties of the Senior Planning Officer
- Undertake research to build and maintain a strong evidence base for policy.
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national planning policies.
- Negotiate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to improve development proposals.
- Develop and review local planning policies and frameworks.
- Lead/assist in public participation and community engagement activities.
- Manage databases, monitor trends, and analyse evidence for policy development.
- Provide policy advice on complex planning applications and corporate projects.
- Prepare statements, represent the Council at appeals, hearings, and court.
- Support delivery of special projects as required.
