Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Housing Grants Officer on behalf of a Housing organisation who requires assistance within the team DFG Team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the effective provision of DFG casework assessments, approval, and monitoring of grant-funded adaptation works, enabling vulnerable housing residents to live more independently and safely in their homes.

Key Responsibilities Of The DFG Roles Includes

  • Assisting residents with completing formal Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) applications and approving grants
  • Carrying out Provisional Test of Resource Assessments
  • Attending pre-start meetings with contractors and residents
  • Issuing contracts and relevant documentation
  • Inspecting completed works and arranging payment of invoices

Requirements Of The Housing Grants Officer Role Includes

  • Demonstrable knowledge of Disabled Facilities Grant legislation and housing adaptations
  • Experience in surveying, contract administration, or grant delivery within a housing, local authority, or similar setting
  • Access to a vehicle for site visits across the district
