About the Role
sjb medical is recruiting on behalf of a leading healthcare provider for the role of Health Assessor, a career‑defining opportunity for qualified clinicians looking to make a meaningful impact outside of traditional treatment settings. In this role you will use your clinical expertise to assess how health conditions affect individuals’ daily lives and mobility. You will support people at a vulnerable time, helping them access the benefits they need while working in a structured, routine environment that supports your wellbeing and professional growth.
About You
- You are a qualified General, Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse with at least one year of post‑registration experience and a current registration with your professional body.
- You are ready to transition from clinical diagnosis to functional assessment and comfortable working in a more routine, target‑driven environment.
You’ll Be
- Conducting clinical and functional assessments with empathy and professionalism
- Writing high‑quality reports that support benefit decisions
- Managing your time effectively to meet daily targets (3 assessments per day once trained)
- Using IT and typing skills to document findings accurately
- Collaborating with a supportive team and contributing to daily briefings
- Maintaining your registration and CPD through ongoing development
