The role

Your main task will be to assess individuals regarding how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life. Using your clinical expertise, you\’ll review medical histories, perform physical examinations, and produce concise reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) to determine benefit eligibility.

The role involves face-to-face and remote assessments, requiring sensitivity, compassion, and strong communication skills. You will have adequate time for thorough assessments and will work independently within a multidisciplinary team, which provides support as needed.

About You

  • Registered Adult Nurse with NMC Level 1, with at least 12 months of broad clinical experience in the past 5 years.
  • Experience working with adults in various clinical settings such as Surgical, Medical, A&E, Community, or Practice Nursing.
  • Continuous Professional Development (CPD) on your CV, NMC registration.
  • Excellent communication skills, adaptable to a changing environment.
  • Proficient IT skills and experience with software applications.
  • Self-aware, committed to professional growth, honest, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Empathetic, respectful, and customer-focused in assessments.
  • Capable of working independently to meet deadlines and standards.
  • A reliable team player willing to support multidisciplinary efforts.
  • Eligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
