Gerald Honey Partnership is the UK's first independent Lift, Escalator, and Suspended Access System specialist consultancy with over 40 years of experience. The company possesses a wealth of knowledge and some of the most highly qualified Engineers within the Lift industry. Our objective is to deliver tangible short, medium and long-term financial benefits to our clients through innovative lift system design, procurement, project management, maintenance management, equipment management and modernisation schemes with an emphasis on safety conscious operational excellence.

Due to continued growth, Gerald Honey Partnership are pleased to announce vacancies in the South of the UK. The ideal candidate will have minimum 15-20 years experience within the Lift Industry and will have, as a minimum NVQ levels 3/4, or equivalent. This is a full‑time hybrid role located in the South of the UK with flexibility for some remote work.

As a Consulting Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting lift system surveys and writing technical specifications
  • Providing project management support
  • Liaising with contractors
  • Commissioning authorisation/certification
  • Quality verification
  • Technical support
  • Preparing reports with recommendations for clients
  • Maintaining client relationships and ensuring that clients receive excellent customer service

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical knowledge of lift systems
  • Experience in conducting lift system surveys and writing technical specifications
  • Experience in project management support and liaison with contractors
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical issues and provide technical support for clients
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • NVQ levels 3/4, or equivalent
  • A minimum of 15-20 years experience within the Lift Industry
