About the Role
You will be based in our city office working within our expanding Business Services department as an Accounts Senior. The role is a combined office‐based and client‐facing position, working in small teams of two to three people under the supervision of a Senior and partner. You will spend approximately 50% of your time on year‐end accounts and 50% on management accounts, and will prepare draft tax computations in collaboration with our dedicated Tax department. The portfolio includes small and medium‐sized privately owned limited companies, LLPs, partnerships and sole traders. Your work will produce accurate draft accounts with minimal outstanding queries and a well‐presented accounts/audit file in a timely and methodical manner. You will prepare accounts from a wide variety of client records ranging from basic prime books and records through to computerised accounting packages.

Responsibilities
- Prepare accounts from the client portfolio within specified budget and timescale.
- Occasionally supervise junior staff by providing additional support to Accounts Senior.
- Produce draft accounts and a well‐presented accounts file for review.
- Prepare VAT returns and management accounts.
- Manage general office‐based day‐to‐day duties as required.
- Handle ad hoc specialist assignments as they arise.
- Take part in marketing and business development opportunities.
Requirements
Essential- Fully qualified ACA or ACCA (Qualified tax advisory / accountant) with experience working in an established UK accountancy firm.
- Wide experience and competency in full accounts production from basic prime books and records through to computerised accounting packages.
- Ability to multi‐task and prioritize workloads.
- Fully conversant with Xero and QuickBooks software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good English, both written and verbal.
- Good time management with ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in managing and leading a portfolio of sizable Chinese clients in different sectors.
- Fluent in Chinese and English communication.
- Knowledge of Pro‐Audit, CCH and Microsoft Office Products, in particular Excel software.
- Speaking both Cantonese and Mandarin.
Salary: £40,000.00‐£55,000.00 per annum.
