What you will do
Based in London and operating across the UK, EMEA, and global markets, this role combines strategic leadership, client engagement, and P&L accountability. The Senior Director leads major client programs focused on procurement transformation, operating model design, category management, digital enablement, and managed services integration. As part of the firm’s global leadership team, the Senior Director plays a pivotal role in shaping go-to-market strategy, capability development, and people leadership, ensuring that delivery excellence and innovation remain at the core of the consulting business.
Main Activities:
- Lead and oversee strategic procurement transformation programs for top-tier clients across multiple sectors (e.g., CPG, manufacturing, energy, financial services).
- Drive business growth by developing existing accounts, identifying new opportunities, and contributing to the firm’s commercial and market development strategy.
- Act as the executive sponsor for large-scale consulting and managed services engagements, ensuring quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.
- Partner with senior client stakeholders (CPOs, CFOs, COOs) to define and deliver strategic procurement operating models and performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide thought leadership on digital procurement, supplier collaboration, sustainability, and cost transformation.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to shape and execute the firm’s go-to-market offerings, intellectual property, and service propositions.
- Oversee engagement delivery governance — ensuring adherence to methodologies, commercial controls, and delivery KPIs.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of consultants, category experts, and transformation managers, fostering growth, engagement, and capability building.
- Partner with Finance and Operations teams to manage project financials, resource utilization, and profitability.
- Represent the firm externally as a trusted advisor and industry expert, contributing to marketing, events, and thought leadership publications.
What you should bring
- 15+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain consulting, with a proven track record in leading large-scale transformation programs.
- Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement operations, and digital procurement enablement.
- Strong consulting background with experience in top-tier consulting firms or recognized procurement transformation specialists.
- Proven ability to build and grow client relationships at C-suite level and manage executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in P&L management, including project profitability, resourcing, and commercial accountability.
- Exceptional leadership capability — able to motivate, coach, and develop multi-level, cross-functional consulting teams.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of procurement’s role in business value creation and cost optimization.
- Experience with managed services, outsourcing, or hybrid delivery models preferred.
- Excellent strategic communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
- Degree-qualified; MBA or postgraduate degree preferred.
