In UKGEOxyz, a leading maritime data company, specialised in hydrographic, geophysical, geotechnical and topographic surveys; marine site investigations; renewable energy support; and crew transfers for the on-, near- and offshore industries. Through our local offices and representatives worldwide, we provide our services to the offshore-, dredging-, and marine construction industries; Transmission System Operators (TSO); authorities; as well as to consulting companies and research centres. We maintain a sizable fleet of 30 owned vessels, spanning various sizes from offshore vessels to smaller trailer vessels and Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs). Operating from Scandinavia to Morocco, with a strong focus on the North Sea basin, we are expanding globally. Our team of 700+ experts embodies our extensive in-house expertise.

This is a new role within an existing team to support growth of services to the UK & Ireland renewables, interconnector and aggregates markets. The post holder will work with the existing UK commercial team to coordinate development of new business, aligned to the UK Area Strategy. A dedicated focus on the developments in Ireland is key. A successful post holder will have the opportunity to grow their role as the business develops and play a significant part in shaping future growth strategy.

Main tasks

  • Actively seek out, introduce and develop new Customer relations, recognise business opportunities, support prequalification and tenders, seek out feedback on tender submissions, represent the Company in sales visits and trade events.

Responsibilities

  • RECOGNIZE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES: Actively pursue new business leads, using market intelligence, networking and sales visits; Represent the Company at trade fairs and conferences; Analysing organisations and markets to find new opportunities.
  • DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN CUSTOMER RELATIONS: Handling the client accounts and enquiries that fall under the pre-described portfolio; Assisting in managing complaints/non-conformities/feedback.
  • DEVELOP LEADS INTO BID OPPORTUNITIES: Ensure the scope of work is clearly defined; Look to understand and measure project risks; Match requirements against company resources and competences; Work with the commercial team to prepare winning proposals; Assist in identifying and resolving contractual and commercial problems.
  • DOCUMENT AND ADVISE ON CONTACT AND OPPORTUNITY DEVELOPMENT: Add and maintain customer contact details on the CRM system, Odoo; Provide regular feedback on opportunity identification and development, mapping out key decision makers, communication paths and specific workscope needs and timelines; Liaise with colleagues in developing an agreed strategy to develop opportunities; Ensuring that all stakeholders, including Area Managers, Tendering, Administration, are kept aware of lead development and follow-up requirements.
