Responsibilities

  • Providing technical leadership and team management to deliver work packages effectively.
  • Coordinating and communicating on complex engineering problems between project stakeholders.
  • Providing technical review and responding to site queries and requested changes in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment to support contractor activities on HPC site.
  • Conducting and reviewing analysis of structures carried out in FEM packages (experience in using Ansys beneficial).
  • Providing technical oversight of reinforcement detailers and reviewing detailing models and drawings.
  • Providing expert oversight and technical direction to teams completing the design of reinforced concrete structures.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Supporting the business development team during the tendering process for our future project stream.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Chartered with the ICE, IStructE, or with equivalent experience and willingness to obtain.
  • Experience in the use of Ansys or equivalent structural FEM software.
  • Experience in reinforced concrete calculation and design.
  • Working familiarity with relevant technical Codes of Practice and Industry Standards (Eurocodes, British Standard, and ETC‑C the applicable code for HPC/SZC).

  • You enjoy new challenges and are keen to learn and willing to take responsibility whilst also wanting to support others within our team.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry based in the UK, e.g. nuclear.
