Working as part of a 2 or 3 man survey team you shall be responsible for detecting buried services, utilities, voids, anomalies and other subsurface features. You shall also be responsible for topographically recording the position, depth and type of service / feature that has been detected.

You will have 3 years’ experience in lifting manhole covers and using a threader / flexi-trace as well as in techniques such as Radio Frequency Detection (RD/ EML) by direct & passive induction and use of ground penetrating radar systems (GPR). Additional knowledge and experience in topographical surveying, use of EDM total stations and office based results production using AutoCAD and GPR software such as Radan and some knowledge of UNext & Condor would be advantageous.

You will also need to hold a clean, valid, full, UK driving licence. The post will require early mornings, the occasional long day, driving to nationwide sites, weekend and night work, as well as staying away from home.

The basic annual starting wage would be £32k with additional out-of-hours pay and generous expenses offered. This role would see you based out of our Head Office, 10 miles south of Guildford - In time and where possible, office-based work can be completed at home and GEOTEC aim to offer a well-rounded work / life balance for their employees.

This position will offer a varied working week and as the lead surveyor, you will be responsible for producing your own survey results in AutoCAD DWG, providing a balance between site and office-based working.
