Summary Of Role
As a Technical Manager you will be an integral part of the future growth of the department.
The focus for this role is to develop our Grass Protection Department by calling on and building strong relationships with all specifiers to generate specifications with the support of our engineering team, provide seminars and offer solutions to customer design requests and project management of new and existing projects.

As a Technical Manager you will be an integral part of the future growth of the department.
The focus for this role is to develop our Grass Protection Department by calling on and building strong relationships with all specifiers to generate specifications with the support of our engineering team, provide seminars and offer solutions to customer design requests and project management of new and existing projects.
Your key influencers will be civil engineers, landscape architects, Estate Managers and councils to name a few.
You will work effectively within the team to achieve personal and department objectives in line with strategy and embrace the Company Vision, Goals, Values & Behaviours.
To attend the office periodically, spending a minimum of 3 days per week on the road.
You will need to have good communication skills to enable you to build strong relationships with your customers.
The successful candidate will need to have a hunger to achieve and good presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Discover and establish new specifications and identify potential projects
- Achieve personal and department targets
- Development of our Grass Protection Team by discovering and establishing new specifications and identifying potential projects
- Increase Company Brand awareness within Construction/Civil Engineering sectors
- Promote Company products and services
- Pre and post site advice, visits and assistance
- Present CPD style seminars
- Work effectively within the team to ensure market leading standards of customer care and satisfaction at all times.
- Provide technical assistance and recommendations utilising the engineering department where appropriate
- Maintain and update CRM system
- Assist with the implementation of department sales and marketing strategies
- Develop new and existing targeted accounts
- Maintain and increase the conversion rate of technical recommendations to orders
Requirements Of The Role
- Background/experience in paving and surfacing although this is not essential
- Proven experience in the construction industry (Desirable)
- Experience in gaining and defending specifications
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Willing to travel throughout the UK with nights away
- Actively demonstrate the ‘Values and Behaviours’ of the business
- Understand and work in line with the Geosynthetics Limited business plan
- Experience in customer relations
- Computer Literate with good IT skills
