We have an exciting new opportunity for Early-Career Hydrogeologists / Environmental Scientists / Engineers to join our teams in Manchester, Delph or Bristol. You will have the opportunity to apply your skills to a range of projects involving contaminated land assessment and sustainable remediation, EHS due diligence and ESG compliance, while expanding the business skills needed for a successful career in environmental consulting. You will be supporting national and international clients across a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, energy and renewables, food and beverages, and the financial sector.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Some of the key responsibilities for our early‑career positions include:

  • Field work during site investigation and remediation projects, including sample collection and contractor oversight
  • Aquifer testing and hydrogeologic data analysis
  • Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation
  • Data analysis/visualisation of data including the preparation of tables, maps, and figures using both industry‑standard and cutting‑edge applications
  • Assistance with environmental due diligence and regulatory compliance projects

Training: We offer professional development opportunities including in‑house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants. The position also requires health and safety, first aid and CPR training, and medical monitoring, which will be paid for by the firm.

Fieldwork: Up to 75% Overnight travel: Up to 40%

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field of study (required)
  • Advanced degree in a related field of study (desirable)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (required)
  • Valid driver’s license for the UK, and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
