Geosyntec offers an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Principal Environmental Professional to support our environmental compliance and due diligence practice. Located in any of our Northern California offices, this role involves managing projects and teams, developing client relationships, and providing expertise in portfolio risk management, environmental, health and safety compliance, due diligence, and Brownfield redevelopment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage permitting, planning, compliance, and environmental oversight of projects involving due diligence, multimedia compliance reviews, and ASTM-compliant Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments.
- Oversee multiple projects ensuring scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards are met.
- Handle project delivery including planning, financial management, risk mitigation, and contract management.
- Build and maintain client relationships to foster repeat business.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and prepare proposals.
- Mentor and lead teams, contributing to a collaborative and innovative culture.
Education and Licensure
- Bachelor's degree in environmental or earth sciences, civil or chemical engineering, or related field (required).
- Advanced degree (preferred).
- Professional licensure (P.E., P.G., CHMM, or similar) (preferred).
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years (preferably 10+) in environmental consulting or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Western U.S. environmental regulations, especially California (strongly preferred).
- Experience with Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (strongly preferred).
- Proven client management and technical leadership skills.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and good driving record (required).
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training (preferred).
- Fieldwork and travel may be required.
Compensation
Salary ranges are approximately $115,040 to $205,190 annually, depending on location and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, health insurance, 401(k), and more.
