Position Summary

The Warehouse Technician supports day-to-day warehouse operations under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to launch a career in logistics and supply chain. Full on-the-job training will be provided — no prior warehouse experience is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate reliability, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Accurately store products in designated locations using racking systems, shelving, or floor storage
  • Pick, pack, and stage outbound orders for shipment in accordance with fulfillment requirements
  • Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently
  • Conduct cycle counts and participate in periodic physical inventory audits
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Identify and report damaged, expired, or discrepant inventory to supervisory staff
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and in compliance with 5S and safety standards
  • Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and freight carriers
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet operational goals and deadlines

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • No prior warehouse experience required — full training provided
  • Experience in a physical, team-based work environment (retail, food service, construction, etc.) a plus
  • Familiarity with basic computer use or handheld devices helpful but not required

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking, packing, and record keeping
  • Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and recording quantities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Good verbal communication and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Proficiency with handheld scanners, RF devices, or similar warehouse technology

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. regularly; up to 75 lbs. occasionally with assistance
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Comfortable working in varying temperature environments including refrigerated areas
  • Ability to operate powered industrial trucks — forklift training provided on the job

Certifications

  • No certifications required at time of hire
  • Forklift Operator Certification — training and certification provided within 30 days of hire
  • OSHA 10 General Industry — training provided by company

Work Schedule & Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position. Location Williamstown, KY. Shifts may include days, evenings, or weekends depending on operational needs. Overtime may be required during peak periods. The work environment is a warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and moving equipment.
