About the Role
GeoSmart is seeking a motivated Graduate Civil (Drainage) Engineer to join our growing Detailed Drainage team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience and work on a variety of innovative drainage projects in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will receive mentorship from experienced engineers and directors, as well as a structured development programme leading toward Chartered Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and CIWEM (Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management) β both globally recognised professional qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) for commercial, residential, retail, and industrial projects, in line with both private and adoptable standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project objectives on time and to the highest quality standards.
- Liaise with statutory bodies including local authorities across the UK and environmental agencies.
- Perform technical analysis using industry-standard design tools such as Flow, PDS, and AutoCAD.
- Participate in project design meetings, site inspections, and reviews.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Communicate project updates and technical advice clearly and professionally.
- Prepare, issue, and manage project documents including calculations, drawings, and technical models.
- Take responsibility for managing assigned tasks within budget and timeline constraints.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
