An exciting opportunity has come up for a Senior Planning Consultant to join us in our Christchurch office. Working as part of one of New Zealand’s largest Planning teams, this role will see you work on a range of projects for diverse clients across both public and private sectors. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities As a member of the Planning team, you will support delivery of a range of projects. You will be responsible for the following: Supporting the delivery of projects across the Planning discipline Working beside the rest of the New Zealand & Pacific Service Line partnering with specialists from other disciplines across New Zealand; in the Christchurch office we have Planning, Environmental Services, and Acoustics & Vibration to name a few Delivering the best possible outcomes for clients with a focus on quality Establishing strong working relationships with clients and the team across SLR Skills and Experience You will also possess the following skills: A degree in Planning or equivalent recognised by NZPI A full member of NZPI or working towards full membership 5-8 years of resource consent and planning experience in New Zealand Knowledge and experience of applying the Resource Management Act to development and infrastructure A good working knowledge of district and regional planning and consenting Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills An aptitude for building and maintaining great relationships with clients and colleagues A resilient and adaptable attitude; see yourself as a can-do person with a calm and confident communication style Ability to work at a strategic level with core clients Ability to translate strategic advice into deliverable work for clients An understanding of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi A drive and passion to achieve outstanding results Our Benefits We are proud of our unique culture where we work together to collaborate on projects to get the best possible outcome for our clients.
