Our busy Newcastle office has a great opportunity for a positive and energetic individual to join the team on a part-time or full-time basis. Using your previous experience, you will assist and lead the admin team to deliver comprehensive, professional, and seamless administration and project support. You will be working with a dynamic, diverse, and supportive team in a busy and productive environment. Ideally you would have worked within a consulting/professional services environment and a genuine interest in an environmental solutions firm will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively assisting in the daily running of the office, including mail/couriers, deliveries, picking up supplies and catering orders.
  • Ensuring all public areas of the office are presentable and tidy throughout the day, including both kitchen areas and meeting rooms.
  • Assist in coordinating events and activities for the office, including client meetings and SLR sponsored industry events.
  • Assisting with entering expenses and credit card reconciliation.
  • Assist with office health and safety management, including visitor sign in, office safety checks, maintaining safety equipment (i.e., fire extinguishers) and office vehicle maintenance.
  • Assisting project managers in drafting proposals and tenders including compiling, reviewing, formatting and submission of documents.
  • Assistance with deliverables, including MS Word formatting, collation of information, scanning and binding, data entry and adhoc requests.
  • Travel and accommodation arrangements for staff and assisting with staff expense claims.
  • General support to the Office Manager, other managers and technical support staff as required.

Skills and Experience

You will need to have experience in a similar role with proven experience in these areas. Experience within consulting/professional services or an interest in an environmental solutions firm will be advantageous. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in similar administration position from a consulting environment advantageous.
  • Great organisational skills with strong multitasking abilities and adaptable to changes.
  • A positive attitude with an energetic approach to tasks.
  • Positive leadership skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
