Overview
The Real Estate Tax Team of a Top 20 firm seeks to hire a qualified Tax Manager. This role could be based in a range of locations including London, Manchester, Leeds, Leicester, Cardiff, Birmingham, Cambridge, Liverpool, Reading and Milton Keynes.
Day to day this role will include a variety of compliance management and advisory work on clients with property interests, whether that be PLCs, universities, investment funds, charities, etc.
Responsibilities
- Support our clients’ tax compliance requirements, and related tax advisory work.
- Be a part of a high performing team with a great deal of tenure within the firm and the sector.
- Work on high profile clients and on challenging projects.
- Take responsibility for developing more junior team members, understanding their career aspirations.
- Work with the biggest names in the market on some of the most interesting projects around – multi-jurisdictional transactions across real estate and infrastructure with current transactions in the £60m, £250m and £500m ranges and recent deals over £1bn.
- Own your own work – this is a team of self-starters and will give you the opportunity to cut your own path within the role.
- With the support of the Partners and Directors, lead from the front when it comes to dealing with clients, delivering work and engaging with the Real Estate and broader Tax teams.
Joining us as a Manager
The minimum criteria you’ll need:
- CTA / ACA / ACCA / ATT qualified or equivalent qualification.
- UK corporate tax experience, ideally within the Real Estate sector.
- Experience of monitoring junior team members' work and coaching / career development.
There is plenty of scope for promotion in this team. They can offer hybrid working (minimum 1 day a week in the office), also able to offer flexible and part-time working. This team massively outperformed in 2023 and is looking to further grow in 2024.
