Our client is a long-standing, large, independent firm of accountants. This business has doubled in size in recent years and is now seeking a key hire: an experienced corporate tax professional to help develop the firm’s corporate tax compliance and reporting services.
In this role, you will review corporate tax compliance and handle some complex cases. You will be the main contact for the team, answering queries on intricate tax reporting issues such as substantial shareholding exemptions, loan relationships, corporate interest restrictions, and loss relief.
You will act as a key interface between clients and HMRC, updating the team and clients on recent changes to corporate tax legislation. The role also involves some marketing activities, working closely with directors and partners; however, the primary focus is on service delivery rather than business development.
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant professional qualification (preferably ACA and CTA or ICAS and CTA). You should have proven compliance experience, with some advisory work. This opportunity may suit a manager seeking career progression or a more experienced professional looking for flexible or part-time working arrangements.
The firm offers hybrid working and modern offices in central Manchester. The team prides itself on being a great place to work, with well-rewarded staff and paid overtime at all levels. The client base is diverse and interesting, including large groups, subsidiaries of overseas companies, and dynamic OMBs.
