Our Client is an independent Chartered Accountants and Advisers who support individuals, SMEs and family-owned businesses through their business and personal lives.
They seek an experienced Tax Senior Associate to join their independent practice based in Hinckley.
This role will manage a varied personal tax compliance portfolio, support clients through the self-assessment cycle, and assist Tax Directors with compliance linked to advisory and planning projects.
Key responsibilities
- Managing the practice self-assessment process, including information requests and follow-up, tax return preparation and HMRC submission, and client liability and payment-on-account notifications.
- Managing a personal tax portfolio covering individual, partnership, trust and estate self-assessment returns.
- Preparing 60-day Capital Gains Tax returns and related client correspondence.
- Managing the P11D process, including preparation, benefit and expense information, and timely HMRC submission.
- Supporting Tax Directors with compliance linked to planning and advisory work, including Trust Registration Service submissions, holdover relief elections and inheritance tax returns.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a reliable point of contact for day-to-day tax compliance matters.
- Working closely with Tax Directors, Payroll Senior Associate and wider colleagues to coordinate workflow, share client knowledge, meeting deadlines and deliver joined up client service.
- Helping maintain and improve processes so deadlines, client communications and HMRC submissions are managed efficiently and consistently.
The ideal candidate will be ATT qualified and will have strong self-assessment and personal tax compliance experience.
This role is based in the office, our client will consider flexible working and 5 days hours across 4 or a part-time 4 day week role. Friendly small firm with a great client base.
