The Office of the Dean of Students at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Coordinator, Student Engagement - Newton Campus. This position is responsible for advising and facilitating student development through targeted programming that supports student engagement on the Newton campus of Georgia State University.

What Will You Do

  • Leads Office of Student Engagement-Newton staff in planning and implementing campus engagement programs and coordinates college-wide, university-wide, and off-campus training opportunities for student leaders.
  • Oversees marketing efforts for the office and the Panther Activities Council through various media including, but not limited to, advertising, press releases, websites, social media, events calendar, banners, flyers, brochures, newsletters, and other items as assigned.
  • Recruits, trains, advises, and evaluates the Panther Activities Council (PAC) executive officers and their committees to produce successful programs representative of the student body's interests, supporting student recruitment, retention, and academic and career goals.
  • Provides fiscal management for PAC's fee-funded accounts; prepares and submits monthly expenditures and reconciliation reports; negotiates vendor contracts.
  • Assists PAC regarding marketing efforts through various media including, but not limited to, advertising, press releases, websites, social media, events calendar, and other items as assigned.
  • Conducts workshops and serves as a resource for registered student organizations (RSO).
  • Evaluate student learning outcomes and the success of programs, activities, and services for Student Life and its programming entities.
  • Serves as an administrative liaison to the Student Government Association (SGA), assists with student assistants' supervision, and performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean of Students/Director of Student Engagement/Campus Lead.

Minimum Hiring Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
