Job Title: Kitchen Mechanic
Location: PantherDining Hall, Georgia State University, Atlanta Campus
Georgia State University (GSU) is seeking a Kitchen Mechanic for its PantherDining Hall, certified by the Green Restaurant Association. Responsibilities include:
- Performing preventative maintenance on kitchen equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
- Managing materials, parts, and equipment inventory.
- Maintaining tools and work areas.
- Executing repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Developing repair plans adhering to regulations.
- Coordinating with internal and external teams.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Participating in training and department improvements.
- Performing administrative tasks related to maintenance.
- Promoting excellent customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED and four years of experience with commercial kitchen equipment.
- Refrigerant certification preferred or ability to obtain within six months.
- Valid GA driver\’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HVACR and EPA Certifications.
- Experience with electrical, plumbing, and commercial kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, and working in various temperatures.
- Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
