Description HVAC & Digital Control Technician I Facilities Management Services Building Maintenance Location: Atlanta Campus Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. These are exciting times in the Maintenance and Operations Department . The Maintenance and Operations Department seeks HVAC & Digital Control Technician I to join an already awesome team and take this department to the next level of excellence! Their work will include inspections, preventative maintenance, minor system modifications, and installations for GSU\’s multiple BAS platforms. Additionally, the HVAC & Digital Control Technician I will: Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of pneumatic control systems and converting pneumatic systems to DDC HVAC control systems. Assist Zone maintenance with performance diagnostic testing of HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, pumps, air handling systems, and controllers. Keep track of labor hours and material usage in the Facilities Management work order system. Disclaimer: This job description provides a high-level overview and is not an exhaustive list of duties. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience. Preferred Hiring Qualifications: Knowledge of Ethernet network setup and troubleshooting. Knowledge of VAV and CV laboratory fume hood control systems. Knowledge of large laboratory ventilation systems. Knowledge of large chilled water and steam boiler plant operations. Knowledge of HVAC tools, procedures, and equipment. Practical oral and written communication skills. Ability to access confined spaces and work in open areas like rooftops. Ability to climb ladders and scaffolds.
