The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is looking to recruit an Admission Counselor II at our Perimeter College campus Clarkston.

Responsibilities:
- Counsel prospective students and applicants on the admissions requirements and procedures for Perimeter College and Georgia State University.
- Be the liaison to other departments on campus to assist and provide outstanding customer service.
- Assist with all daily scheduled on-campus Information Sessions (30-45 minute sessions) and group tours, dispensing accurate information about the campus, admissions, programs of study, financial aid, and related topics to students, parents, and guests.
- Meet with prospective students and guests after the daily campus tour to counsel applicants regarding admissions requirements and procedures.
- Participate as a member of the Admissions Mail committee to follow up with prospective students via email and phone.
- Assist and collaborate with the processing team to review academic and non‑academic documents for admission to Georgia State University, Perimeter College.
- Assist and participate in on and off campus student recruitment events in Georgia, including all on campus open houses, college fairs and high school visits.
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent customer service and problem solving skills.
- Thorough knowledge of, familiarity with and experience in the admissions field and interpreting policies and procedures to prospective students and the University community.
- Understanding of the territory management concept of recruitment and ability to manage a specific geographic recruitment region by utilizing data for decision making and travel territories.
- Ability to present clear and accurate information to small and large groups of various populations.
- Ability to effectively work with diverse constituencies in a large, fast‑paced professional work environment.
- Represent the University in a professional and positive manner at all recruitment and recruitment related functions.
- Knowledge of and experience with computer systems, programs and applications in using Banner and Hobsons Connect.
- Ability to travel (sometimes driving long distance requiring overnight stays).
- Weekend and evening hours required when necessary.
- Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary offers will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications in relation to the minimum hiring standards. Typical range for entry‑level: $47,500. Benefits include health, dental, vision, tuition assistance, retirement, and other standard Perimeter College benefits.
