Grow your career with Georgia‑Pacific! We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor (Electrical) at our Dixie Products manufacturing facility in Darlington, SC. Reporting to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager, this role will directly supervise and lead the Electrical Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be a self‑driven individual with a passion for excellence in safety, manufacturing, and customer focus who can achieve results by working with and through others.

The Darlington Dixie® plant has been in operation for nearly 85 years and is one of the largest employers in Darlington County. Owned by Georgia‑Pacific, the site boasts more than 450 employees and produces plates, bowls, and other tableware products. Affectionately known as “Dixie® Cup” by many in Darlington – the plant shifted its focus to exclusively making plates and bowls in 2020 as part of a major facility upgrade and expansion project. For nearly a century, we’ve created products that make lives easier. From the first disposable paper cup to our strong and stylish modern plates, the history of Dixie® is one of bringing people together.

What You Will Do

  • Lead Darlington’s Electrical Maintenance Team comprised of day and rotating‑shift workers, who are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical / electronic systems and equipment in high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Coordinate maintenance execution efforts that drive improvement in all associated work processes affecting EHS, compliance, reliability, quality, production, and costs.
  • Facilitate team development and growth, individual skill development, problem‑solving and issue resolution, and workplace culture by building employee commitment, ownership, and accountability.
  • Ensure Electrical Safe Work Practice compliance.
  • Perform Safety walks in the areas to improve employee engagement and maintenance performance.
  • Monitor the quality of craft work and provide directions to crew members to build capability and maximize efficiency.
  • Track departmental KPI’s and report on team performance.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (SAP) to schedule work.
  • Work closely with Operations Leaders, Technical Team, Electrical Planner, and Facilities / Utilities Engineer to ensure safe working environments, address issues, execute maintenance services, and improve the reliability and efficiency of assets.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 5 years’ electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial settings, including at least 2 years supervising maintenance technicians.
  • Hands‑on experience with single‑ and three‑phase systems up to 480 V; electrical controls, PLCs, AC/DC motor controllers and drives.
  • Experience with CMMS (SAP preferred), MS Word/Excel.
  • Experience in leading improvement efforts in Reliability, Predictive and Preventive Maintenance.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Associate degree or higher in Electrical, Electronics, or related technical field preferred.
  • Experience utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or other similar problem‑solving tools.
  • Required safety training: NFPA 70E or equivalent electrical safety, and OSHA 10/30 (or site‑specific equivalents).
  • Proficient reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
