SUMMARY: The Feed Mill Lead works with and oversees a small group of feed mill team members to produce good quality feed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Oversee production and maintenance team members in the assigned Feed Mill.
- Monitor mill equipment for proper operation.
- Unload ingredient trucks and record on appropriate documents.
- Monitor inventories and maintain records to ensure enough ingredients are on hand.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and record on appropriate documents.
- Perform weekly housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned.
- Take production samples as needed.
- Take samples of incoming ingredients.
- Receive ingredients into the facility.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position will not have supervisory responsibility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required: High school diploma or equivalent AND 1 year of feed mill experience
Preferred: Previous leadership responsibilities
