Collecting Food Surplus & Serving the Community
In order to support the growing need of our customers during increasingly difficult economic times, the amazing team at Nisa has provided us with an additional 4 stores to collect surplus food from. We therefore need volunteer drivers to help us collect from these stores and deliver to our hub in Stamford.
- One day (multiple if you have availability, or all five days would be amazing only if you can realistically meet the commitments)
- 2‑3 hours per day, each morning approx. 9/9:30am to 11/12pm
- Full driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential
- Ability to lift potentially heavy boxes or bags of goods

At George’s Food Hub, our aim is to reduce food waste and support local people to reduce their food costs. We now feed the region 700 people in need each week, including working families, veterans, elderly members of the community and those without housing.
