If you're ready to lead from the front and make quality more than just a tick-box exercise — this one's for you.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the UK quality team while overseeing compliance across international offices in the US, Asia, and Brazil
- Shaping and delivering a companywide quality vision, strategy, and culture
- Representing quality at board level — internally and with external auditors, suppliers, and customers
- Maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certification and developing the QMS to meet international standards and regulatory requirements (RoHS, ATEX, WEEE, etc.)
- Championing a "quality in all that we do" mindset across every department and touchpoint
- Driving measurable improvements in product reliability, internal processes, and cross-functional collaboration
- Rolling out business process mapping and KPI tracking across key functions like Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Customer Support
- Managing the FRACAS system to track trends and feed data-driven decisions
- Coaching internal "Quality Champions" throughout the business to embed best practices
What we’re looking for:
- A hands-on quality leader with 10+ years in a technical, commercial environment — ideally across design, engineering, manufacturing, and customer-facing teams
- Deep understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant standards
- Proven experience in transforming quality culture and driving operational improvement
- Commercial awareness and the ability to align quality initiatives with broader business objectives
- Confident communicator at every level — from technicians to boardroom
- Strong leadership style — able to coach, challenge, and collaborate in equal measure
Bonus points for:
- Quality-related qualifications (CQI, Six Sigma Black Belt, etc.)
- Experience with business process mapping and culture change programs
- Project management skills and multi-disciplinary team leadership
- Familiarity with EFQM or other business excellence frameworks
Why this role?
