Are you experienced in quality assurance within an electro‑mechanical or complex manufacturing environment? Want to take ownership of quality processes in a company that actually listens and invests in doing things properly?

We’re supporting a well‑established engineering business based in Hampshire who design and build highly technical products used around the world. They’re now looking for a Quality Assurance Lead to join their Quality team and work closely with Production and Engineering to ensure the highest standards across final product release.

This role is hands‑on, collaborative, and influential, you’ll be the person who makes sure what leaves the building is right first time.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and maintain quality control processes across production
  • Conduct inspections of electro‑mechanical assemblies and finished products
  • Work with engineering and production teams to identify and reduce quality risks (including FMEA and control plans)
  • Review and manage non‑conformance reports, ensuring effective corrective actions
  • Own the final product release / dispatch sign‑off process
  • Oversee calibration systems and ensure equipment meets required standards
  • Support and mentor a Quality Release Inspector

What You’ll Need

  • Background in quality assurance within manufacturing or engineering
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Confidence in identifying non‑conformance and driving corrective action
  • Strong attention to detail and structured working habits
  • Understanding of ESD and calibration systems would be a strong advantage
  • Experience inspecting soldering/crimping work also beneficial
  • Comfortable working cross‑functionally with engineering & production teams
