One of our clients is seeking an experienced Tax Director to join their US/UK Cross-Border Tax team in London, working with High Net Worth individuals, entrepreneurs, partnerships, trusts, and estates on sophisticated international tax matters.

Role Overview

As a Tax Director, you'll lead a diverse portfolio of clients with complex US and UK tax affairs while driving business growth, managing key client relationships, and supporting the continued development of a market-leading US/UK Cross-Border Tax practice. This role combines technical excellence, commercial leadership, and people management, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within one of the industry's leading private client teams.

What You'll Do

  • Lead complex US/UK cross-border tax advisory and compliance engagements.
  • Manage a portfolio of High Net Worth individuals, entrepreneurs, partnerships, trusts, estates, and other internationally focused private clients.
  • Build and strengthen long-term client relationships while acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Drive business development opportunities through your network and collaboration across the firm's service lines.
  • Deliver technically complex consulting projects with a practical, commercial approach.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop managers and junior team members.
  • Contribute to the strategic and operational leadership of the US/UK Cross-Border Tax team.
  • Support team growth, retention, and talent development initiatives.
  • Oversee portfolio management, financial performance, and engagement delivery.

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience at Director level or within a similar leadership position in professional services.
  • Strong technical expertise across US and UK private client taxation.
  • Proven experience advising High Net Worth individuals, entrepreneurs, partnerships, trusts, and estates on complex cross-border tax matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex client relationships and deliver exceptional client service.
  • Strong business development and commercial leadership skills.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organisational, project management, and commercial acumen.
  • Total compensation package of up to £160,000.
