Overview

This is a high-impact Trusts & Estates Tax Manager position within a Top 10 firm’s Private Client team. You will take responsibility for a key trust portfolio, deliver technical advisory and compliance work, and work closely with a Partner to support the continued development of the trusts offering. The role also includes exposure to more complex and international trust structures, alongside mentoring junior team members.

What You’ll Do

  • Take ownership of a portfolio of trusts and HNW/UHNW private clients.
  • Work closely with a Partner on shaping and developing the Trusts & Estates function.
  • Deliver technical trust and estate advisory work, including IHT, trust accounts, and planning.
  • Gain exposure to complex and non-resident trust structures.
  • Oversee trust compliance work and related tax filings.
  • Support junior team members through review, mentoring, and technical guidance.
  • Contribute to the development of processes and service offering within the team.
  • Liaise with clients, trustees, and advisers on complex matters.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong UK trusts and estates tax experience.
  • Experience covering IHT, trust accounts, and advisory work.
  • Exposure to complex trust structures (including non-resident trusts advantageous).
  • Ability to manage client relationships and lead portfolio work.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff.
  • Strong technical, advisory, and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and interest in contributing to team growth.
