About The Role
We are seeking a National Sales Manager to lead our sales team across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the Director, this role is responsible for developing and delivering the national sales strategy, leading a team of Key Account Managers and driving sustainable revenue and margin performance across the portfolio. A part of the senior leadership team, this is a hands-on leadership role that balances people leadership, strategic planning and commercial execution, with ongoing customer engagement and industry presence. The location for this role is flexible, (East Coast Aust - capital preferred) with significant and regular travel required to support customers and the sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a national team of Key Account Managers
- Build strong, trusted relationships with key customers, industry stakeholders and partners
- Develop and execute the national sales strategy in alignment with business objectives
- Drive revenue growth, margin performance and disciplined sales execution
- Provide leadership across pricing strategy, tenders and major commercial decisions
About You
You are a commercially astute sales leader with strong experience in agriculture and stockfeed industries. You will ideally bring:
- Strong background in Key Account and sales team Management, with exposure to complex customers and tenders
- A thorough understanding of and demonstrated experience in ruminant and monogastric nutrition
- Strong commercial capability including market analysis, pricing, margin and cost management
- A collaborative, personable and credible leadership presence with customers and internal teams
- A sound understanding of the application of science as it applies to livestock nutrition and animal health in combination with a relevant tertiary qualification
- Industry familiarity and established relationships considered a strong advantage
