About the role: Applications are invited for the post of teacher of biology, starting on Monday 17th August 2026. The successful candidate will be a graduate with a proven track record of excellent teaching, an inclusive approach and commitment to fostering a love of learning in all pupils. In addition to bringing ambition and vision for the learning and teaching of biology, the teacher of biology will be ready to contribute with enthusiasm to the wider life of the school.
Benefits: St Margaret’s operates its own salary scale and the successful candidate will be remunerated at the appropriate point. Subject to eligibility criteria, the successful applicant will be automatically enrolled into the STPS with the right to opt out; the applicant can also opt into the school's DC arrangement. Daughters of staff are eligible for a 30% remission on school fees after one year's service. The school offers an Employee Assistance Programme providing free and confidential advice on work and personal issues.
Qualifications and Checks: Candidates should be GTCS registered or eligible for registration. St Margaret’s School places safeguarding of its pupils as its highest priority and the successful applicant will be subject to appropriate qualification and registration checks.
