Erskine Stewart’s Melville are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Art and Design to join the Art and Design Department at the ESM Senior School on a permanent basis from 17 August 2026 (subject to satisfactory pre‑employment checks). This is a permanent, part‑time role, working equivalent to 0.24FTE of a full‑time teacher.

The purpose of the role is to teach Art and Design to all year group levels and contribute to the School’s extra‑curricular programme. This is a varied role, delivering a broad curriculum using a wide range of media, techniques and processes including but not limited to drawing, painting, printmaking, 3D work, photography and/or digital art.

Qualifications: GTCS registered, or eligible for registration, with a relevant subject‑specific teaching degree. Passionate about Art and Design and able to support the department to collaborate, create and build a successful subject offering for all students of the Senior School, as well as contribute to extra‑curricular Art and Design activities, exhibitions and enrichment programmes.

Nationality and Work Visa: International applicants cannot be sponsored by ESMS. They must have alternative right to work in the UK.
