Erskine Stewart Melville are currently recruiting for an Administration Assistant to join the School Operations Team on a permanent basis from 17 August 2026 (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). The role is term time plus one week. We welcome applications from candidates seeking either a full-time (1.0 FTE) position or a part-time (0.5 FTE) appointment. Depending on the applicant pool and organisational needs, the role may be filled by one full-time employee or two part-time employees sharing the responsibilities.

The working hours for the full-time role would be 41.09 hours per week during term time and the salary is £24,024. The working hours for the part-time role would be 20.5455 hours per week during term time and the salary is £12,012.

The purpose of the role is responsible for assisting in administering the procedures and systems that underpin and facilitate the smooth running of ESM and will include such duties as:

  • Providing administrative assistance to other members of the School Operations Teams
  • Sending relevant communications to staff, students and parents, as need be
  • To support the Admissions Team

The successful candidate must have experience working in a busy and dynamic office environment and experience of database administration. Ideally, they would have experience of working in a school or education environment.

ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate will only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
