Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and inspire the History department to secure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Design and implement an ambitious, well-sequenced and inclusive history curriculum at KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 where applicable).
- Monitor progress, outcomes and achievement, taking effective action to maximise pupil attainment.
- Support, coach and develop members of the department, including early career teachers.
- Contribute to whole-school priorities, CPD and wider curriculum development.
- Promote a culture of high expectations, positive behaviour and academic curiosity.
