The primary purpose of this position is to identify cost savings opportunities across the company and lead cross-functional teams to manage our supplier database and achieve cost savings. Some of the tasks you will be responsible for are:
- Lead or facilitate the supplier selection and negotiation process.
- Establish savings tracking methodology.
- Perform savings tracking and report realized savings on a continuous basis.
You will collaborate with Finance, Operations, Account Leadership and Integrated Production to ensure account margins, client satisfaction and account growth meet company standards. Escalating known issues and risks as necessary, and ensuring compliance with all GPJ and client contract requirements and policy governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the formalised procurement process for the GPJ London office aligning with the full EMEA procurement approach.
- Develop category sourcing strategies and partner with a cross-functional team to execute the strategy and process change.
- Lead the ISO 20121 and sustainability initiative requirements as it relates to vendor practices partnering with the Operations Team.
- Perform market analysis, benchmark analysis and spend analysis for focused categories.
- Manage internal customers and stakeholders up to and including the C level.
- Track and manage internal demand for assigned categories; direct internal customers and stakeholders to preferred suppliers.
- Identify, select, and manage suppliers who have the capacity and capability to meet the needs of the business.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationship for key suppliers.
- Facilitate Cost Reduction (SCORE), if required, and reporting efforts.
- Compliance with GPJ Procurement Processes.
- Define the GPJ London procurement process.
- Ensure procurement procedures/competitive bidding is followed and documented appropriately based on client needs, ensuring value for money, quality & innovation, risk mitigation and compliance to the individual client MSA’s.
- Centralisation and maintaining all vendor and service provider agreements in an audit-compliant manner, as well as the monitoring of contractual changes, renewals, and terminations.
- Partner with financial leads for the account.
- Negotiate payment terms with suppliers to ensure alignment with project schedule and business financial commitments.
- Monitor project closure in collaboration with Finance and operations to ensure suppliers are paid inline with defined schedules.
- Manage the preferred supplier programme through annual review of supplier spend, frequency of use and volume of work.

Your Background, Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a sourcing and/or procurement professional.
- Solid understanding of the supplier landscape within the assigned categories; with a proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships and conduct thorough market analyses.
- Experience sourcing services for marketing, events, travel and professional services would be an advantage.
- Experienced operating in a global, multi currency environment.
- Experienced in supporting and executing strategic initiatives and programs, including hands-on involvement in large scale RFP processes and global sourcing events.
- Proficient in reviewing and negotiating standard contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- CIPS qualification would be desirable but not essential.
