About the Role
George Killoughery Ltd is a well-established Construction Services company delivering Aggregates, Logistics, Waste Management, and Infrastructure solutions across London and the South East. We work with many of the UK’s leading construction contractors and have built a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and professionalism. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Drivers to join a busy, well-established logistics and aggregates operation based in Purfleet. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of construction materials, aggregates, and muck-away across London and the South East.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 Skip Lorry
- Carry out scheduled skip deliveries, exchanges, and collections
- Carrying out thorough daily walk-around vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Adhering strictly to tachograph regulations and driver's hours legislation
- Maintain accurate paperwork and delivery records
- Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company professionally
- Follow all health and safety procedures on all sites internal and external
- Communicating effectively with transport planners and site managers
Requirements
- HGV Class 2 (Category C) license
- CPC qualification
- Minimum 12 months HGV experience
- Knowledge of London & South East roads
Desirable:
- CSCS card
- HIAB / Grab experience
- SUD CPC
- Experience with bins, tippers, grabs, sweeper and class 1 artic vehicles (however full training will be provided)
