George Killoughery Ltd are a Construction Services company providing a variety of Aggregates, Logistics, Waste Management and Infrastructure Services. We have a reputation for quality of service in the market and work closely with a variety of clients including most major UK Construction Contractors.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a SHEQ Manager within our successful team in Mitcham.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and co-ordinate health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance to health and safety regulations by all employees and contractors of the business.
- Preparing method statements and risk assessments.
- Site inspections – Identifying potential hazards and determining ways of reducing risks.
- Recording and investigating incidents, accidents and complaints.
- Investigate any health and safety issues raised.
- Attend training courses as required to enable you to develop your skills and knowledge through continuous professional development.
- Conducting in-house training sessions on health and safety awareness.
- Maintain all company accreditations (e.g. Avetta, Constructionline etc).
- Keep up to date the safe operational practices ensuring adherence to any changes in legislation.
Key Skills & Knowledge
- Experience of working in a waste management or construction environment.
- Strong analytical problem solving and organizational skills.
- NEBOSH qualified (or equivalent).
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to communicate in verbal and written forms at all levels.
- Ability to give constructive feedback to all levels of staff.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines.
- Full driving licence.
- Experience/knowledge of transport or environmental compliance is advantageous.
