The Role: We are seeking a proactive and organised full-time Secretary to join our busy Private Client team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to our fee earners, helping to ensure the smooth running of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing correspondence and legal documents using digital dictation and document management systems
- Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate client records
- Liaising with clients, colleagues, and external organisations professionally and courteously
- Assisting with the preparation of wills, probate applications, and other private client documentation
- Handling incoming calls, emails, and posts efficiently
- Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with firm policies and procedures
Skills and Experience:
- Previous secretarial experience within a legal or professional services environment (Private Client experience preferred)
- Strong typing and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
- A professional, friendly manner with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure
