The Role:

We're looking for an experienced and proactive Bookkeeper to join the business on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage a high volume of financial transactions. You'll take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping function, ensuring financial records are accurate, organised, and up to date. Working closely with the leadership team, you'll play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the business. As the company expands, there will be opportunities for the role and responsibilities to grow too.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities
  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Posting and reconciling journal entries
  • Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
  • Supporting month-end and year-end processes
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial reports
  • Monitoring cash flow and business expenditure
  • Ensuring financial records remain compliant and audit-ready
  • Supporting the leadership team with financial information when required

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous bookkeeping experience within a busy SME environment
  • Comfortable managing a high volume of transactions with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and financial principles
  • Experience using accounting software and finance systems
  • Highly organised and able to work independently
  • Proactive, reliable, and confident taking ownership of their workload
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • AAT qualified (or equivalent) would be advantageous
  • Experience within automotive, luxury goods, or a fast-growing business would be beneficial but is not essential
