We are expanding our team and looking for a technically strong, detail-focused Architectural Technologist to support our growing workload across bespoke residential, developer-led housing, and affordable housing (RSL) projects.

About the Role
As an Architectural Technologist at GBA, you will:
- Produce detailed technical drawings, building warrant packs, and tender documentation
- Work on a range of project types including:
- Bespoke private homes
- Extensions, renovations & conservation
- Assist with planning applications and building warrant submissions
- Integrate measured surveys and consultant information into CAD
- Coordinate with engineers, planners, and housing associations
- Support on-site during construction, responding to RFIs and coordinating details
- Contribute to the development of our technical standards, QA systems, and templates
- Work on high-performance design solutions including low-energy and net-zero homes

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone with strengths similar to Ross Slater, reliable, accurate, technically capable, and a great team contributor.
You should have:
- 2–6+ years experience in practice
- Strong technical drawing and detailing skills
- Experience with housebuilder layouts or affordable housing (highly desirable)
- Confidence with Scottish Building Standards (essential)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Good communication skills and a calm, steady approach
- Ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy and consistency
