A well-established engineering/manufacturing business is looking for a Storesperson to join their busy Stores/Warehouse function on a fixed-term temporary contract. This is a hands-on role supporting production and customer orders, helping ensure parts and materials are received, stored, picked and dispatched safely and efficiently.
Location: Camberley
Salary: Competitive / negotiable (depending on experience)
Access: Due to the site’s location, you must be able to drive (own transport required)
The role involves day-to-day stores operations, including:
- Receiving and unloading deliveries
- Goods in / goods receipt and accurate stock movements
- Stock checking and general inventory control
- Picking kits and shortages for production
- Picking parts for sales/customer orders and internal requisitions
- Packing items for dispatch and preparing despatch paperwork
- Delivering and collecting parts internally across the site
- Keeping the stores area safe, tidy and well organised (5S mindset welcomed)
- Following Health & Safety procedures, including manual handling and COSHH practices
- Contributing ideas for continuous improvement (reducing errors, scrap and damage)
What we’re looking for (essential):
- Full UK driving licence and able to drive to site
- PC literate (stock control systems experience is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail (counting, weighing, labelling, following instructions accurately)
- Good communication skills and a team-first approach
- Positive attitude, reliable, keen to learn and able to use initiative
- Comfortable working in a production/engineering environment
Nice to have (desirable):
- Previous stores/warehouse experience
- Forklift truck licence
- Experience handling electronic components (ESD environment) and/or electro-mechanical parts
- Familiarity with 5S, manual handling training, or similar
