Assembly Technician A well-established engineering/manufacturing organisation is looking for a Assembly Technician to join their Production team on a fixed-term temporary contract. This is a hands-on role building a range of high-quality products to agreed build times, while maintaining excellent standards throughout the production process. Location: Camberley Salary: Competitive / negotiable (depending on experience) THE ROLE Youโll be assembling products from PCB level through sub-assemblies to finished units, working to engineering drawings, wiring schedules and quality processes. Key responsibilities include: * Assembling constituent parts from PCB level to finished units, using engineering drawings * Building to wiring schedules and using meters/equipment to check assembled work where required * Raising and escalating any specification/design issues via the relevant production/engineering routes * Working to quality system procedures/standards and achieving expected build times (ERP-timed where applicable) * Producing non-conformance documentation where needed (e.g., observation reports / change requests) * Collaborating with Production Engineering, Stores and Quality to resolve assembly issues quickly * Supporting other assembly staff and maintaining accurate records using provided systems (ERP/intranet) * Promoting a safety-first culture and following site policies and procedures WHAT WEโRE LOOKING FOR (ESSENTIAL) * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Previous manufacturing assembly experience including soldering and crimping * Proven ability to use production equipment (e.g., soldering irons, crimp tools) * IT literate and comfortable using systems for day-to-day production activity * Strong attention to detail, teamwork mindset, and a consistent quality focus NICE TO HAVE (DESIRABLE) * Surface mount experience * Experience working within structured quality systems / continuous improvement environments
